How much does a New Mexico medical cannabis card cost? +
Our consultation is $115 for first-time patients and $65 for renewals, before tax and processing fees. There is no separate state application fee for the patient certification.
Who qualifies for a medical marijuana card in New Mexico? +
Adults (18+) and minors with parental consent who have at least one of the qualifying conditions defined by the New Mexico Department of Health (Lynn and Erin Compassionate Use Act) qualify.

Do I need to be a New Mexico resident? +
Yes. To enroll in the New Mexico Medical Cannabis Program (MCP), you must be a New Mexico resident with proof of residency (state-issued ID, utility bill, or similar).
Is the consultation 100% virtual? +
Yes. New Mexico telemedicine law allows you to complete the entire consultation by secure video call from anywhere in New Mexico — Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Las Cruces, Rio Rancho, or anywhere else in the state.
What documents will I need? +
A New Mexico state-issued ID (driver's license or state ID), proof of residency if your ID address is out of date, and any medical records you have related to your qualifying condition. Records aren't strictly required — our doctors can evaluate your condition during the visit.
Do I need medical records before applying? +
Prior medical records help expedite the process, but they are not strictly required. Our doctors will evaluate your qualifying condition during your virtual appointment.
How quickly will I receive my card? +
After your visit, the doctor's certification is submitted to the New Mexico Department of Health. Once the state issues your card, it is uploaded securely to your DOH patient portal. We will share a typical turnaround time once we have the latest state processing data.
Can I use my card at any New Mexico dispensary? +
Yes. A valid New Mexico medical cannabis card lets you purchase from any licensed New Mexico medical cannabis dispensary statewide. Medical patients also receive tax exemptions and higher purchase limits than recreational customers.
Is my payment information secure? +
Yes. Payments are processed by NMI, a PCI-compliant payment gateway. Your card details are typed into secure fields hosted by the gateway, are encrypted in transit, and never reach or are stored on our servers.
